When
members go to the IFBF Convention as representatives of the
Canyon County Farm Bureau, they are to keep the receipts and
be reimbursed at a following meeting.

The
Canyon County Farm Bureau shall hold its annual business
meeting in October of each year.

Only
applicants from who are, or whose parents are, members of the
Canyon County Farm Bureau are qualified to compete for the
Canyon County Farm Bureau scholarships. Scholarship
applications from children of Board members will be allowed.
In the event of a scholarship application from a Board
member’s child, outside judges will be sought and all
identifying information on the applications will be removed
during consideration.

The
Board shall be authorized to reimburse qualifying senior
members in the amount of the annual membership. The
qualifications are to be determined by the Executive Committee
and are limited to 10 people each year.

Unexcused
absence by a director two meetings in a row shall be followed
by a letter from the president and if needed, a vote by the
Board shall be taken at the 4th meeting as to whether to
retain the director in absence.

office agreement shall be reviewed in March of every year.

Women’s Committee name shall be changed to Farm Bureau
Agri-business Women.

Upon
traveling on Canyon County Farm Bureau business, the following
policies will apply: If the county makes the reservations and
the board member fails to attend the function and does not
cancel, the board member reimburses the county for the costs
incurred. If the board member makes his/her own reservations
but fails to attend, then they may not ask for reimbursement
on any costs incurred. If the board member does attend, all
travel expenses will be reimbursed upon presentation of the
receipts.

Elections:
A member of the Board of the Canyon County Fair Bureau
Federation may run for election to any local, state or federal
office, and retain their seat on the board. If elected, the
Board member must resign upon taking the political office to
which they were elected or appointed to. The Board may invite
candidates to attend meetings or forums to present their
points of view.

Political
Endorsements: The Canyon County Farm Bureau Federation
Board shall not endorse any candidate running for any
political office either at the local, state or federal levels.
The Board may take positions on initiatives and other ballot
measures.

Purchase
of Fair Animals: Up to 25% of the CCFB funds budgeted
for the fair could be designated to board member’s children
as add-ons only, leaving the rest of the funds for other
members’ children.

CANYON
COUNTY FARM BUREAU ELECTION PROCEDURES

Shall
be elected at the Annual Business Meeting.

Shall
be elected by ballot.

Shall
be listed on a ballot, with written nomination signed by
two (2) members submitted one week in advance of the
announced election.

To
be added to the ballot, verbal nomination by a member can
come from the floor at the time of the Nomination
Committee report.

Shall
be elected by a majority (one-half plus one) of the votes
cast. If necessary second and third ballots will be
cast.

Shall
be elected at a County Board meeting following the Annual
Business Meeting.

Shall
be elected by ballot.

Shall
be listed on a ballot, with written nomination signed by
two (2) members submitted one week in advance of the
announced election.

Committee report.

for one position at the District Caucus, the President
shall inform the County Voting Delegates of the County’s
preference.

consist of Board members whose terms are not expiring.

elect their Chairman from within the Committee.

Shall
have the Chairman read their report at the Annual Business
Meeting, naming the nominees for the County Board and
State Delegate positions.

Shall
have the Chairman read their report at the County Board
Meeting which follows the Annual Business Meeting naming
the nominees for the offices of President, Vice-President,
Treasurer and the IFBF State Board.

Shall
have the Chairman open nominations and conduct the
elections at both the Annual Business Meeting and at the
following County Board Meeting.

Shall
prepare all ballots, listing multiple nominations for one
position alphabetically using their last names.
